Text to PDF — frequently asked questions
Which paper size is used?
A4 (210 × 297 mm). Content wraps at ~95 characters per line to stay within the safe print margin.
Can I change the font?
The current version uses Helvetica 11pt. For custom styling, convert your text to Word first and export from there.
Are Unicode characters supported?
Basic Latin and most Latin-1 accents render correctly. Complex scripts (Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, emoji) may need a fuller font — save your .txt as UTF-8 first for best results.
Is the file size limit the same?
Yes, up to 100 MB. Text files rarely approach that, but you're welcome to try.
Are page numbers added?
Not automatically. Add them by converting the .txt into Word first (using our Grammar Corrector then Word to PDF flow) if you need numbered pages.
Pro tips for Text to PDF
- Save your text file as UTF-8 in Notepad → Save As → Encoding: UTF-8 to avoid mojibake in the PDF.
- Wrap long lines manually if you need them not to be broken by the tool's 95-char wrap.
- For richer layout, run the text through Word first and then use Word to PDF.
