Are all sheets included?
Yes. Every non-hidden sheet in the workbook is rendered onto its own set of PDF pages, in the order Excel shows them.
Are print settings respected?
Print areas, orientation (portrait/landscape), and "Fit to 1 page wide" scaling defined in the source .xlsx are all applied to the PDF.
Will charts appear?
Yes. Native Excel charts, sparklines, images and shapes are rasterised at high DPI and embedded in the PDF.
What about formulas?
Only the calculated values render — the underlying formulas are not visible in the PDF, exactly as if you had printed the workbook.
Can I convert .xls files from Excel 97-2003?
Yes. Both the modern .xlsx and legacy .xls formats are supported.
Pro tips for Excel to PDF
- Set your print area inside Excel first (Page Layout → Print Area) — otherwise huge blank columns may bleed into the PDF.
- Hide unused sheets before converting to keep the PDF short.
- Save the Excel file with the correct paper size (A4/Letter) before uploading; the PDF inherits that size.
