Is a drawn signature legally binding?
In most countries (USA E-SIGN Act, EU eIDAS Simple Electronic Signature, India IT Act 2000 §3A) a hand-drawn digital signature on a PDF is considered legally binding for typical business agreements. Highly regulated cases (deeds, wills) may need a qualified digital certificate.
Can I sign more than one page?
Right now each conversion stamps one page. Split PDF, sign each page, then Merge PDF — or run Sign PDF multiple times on the same file changing the page number each time.
Can I position the signature anywhere?
You can pick one of five spots: bottom-right, bottom-left, top-right, top-left, or centre. Fine-grained free-drag positioning is on our roadmap.
What image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPG, WEBP or BMP. For the cleanest result, use a transparent-background PNG cropped to just the signature.
Is my signature stored?
No. Your drawn or uploaded signature stays in the browser tab until you close it. The server processes the PDF and deletes both the signature and the resulting PDF within one hour.
Pro tips for Sign PDF
- For a professional look, use a black or dark-blue pen colour and a size between 15–25% of the page width.
- Hold your phone in landscape mode when signing on mobile — you get twice the drawing space.
- If you need the signature to appear on every page, sign one, then use Merge PDF to combine two stamped copies at either end.
