PDF supports transparency, so alpha channels in PNGs are preserved. The page background under the PNG will be white by default.

How is quality affected?

PNGs are lossless. We embed them without re-encoding to keep them pixel-perfect.

Do I need to resize my PNGs?

No. The PDF page size adjusts to fit each PNG, or you can pick a fixed A4/Letter page via our Images to PDF tool.

Can I add page numbers?

Not directly — combine the PDF with Word first to add numbered captions.
