Do I need the password?
Yes. The tool only removes protection if you supply the correct user password. There is no crack-attempt mode.
What if I don't know the password?
We cannot help — that would be circumventing the owner's protection. Contact the original author.
Is the unlocked file identical?
Content and layout are unchanged. Only the encryption metadata is stripped.
Are the passwords logged?
No. Passwords are held in RAM for the duration of the request and never written to disk.
Can I unlock multiple PDFs at once?
One file at a time in the current UI. For batches, script against our REST API.
